About The Designer
After a two year apprenticeship with a silversmith, Samantha Goldberg launched her jewelry line in 2006. One of One jewelry combines old-world silversmithing techniques with unusual natural rock formations. Every stone and setting is unique, making each piece 1/1 in an artist's series. "The stone's personality doubled with the wearer's personality really make it one's own," says Goldberg. "I like the idea of owning a customized piece no one else in the world will have." The line of one-of-a-kind creations has an edgy, otherworldly aesthetic.
Goldberg was named one of Gen Art's Fresh Faces for 2007, and her work has been exhibited in Asia, Europe and North America. She resides in Chicago, Illinois and One of One works are designed and created by hand in her downtown studio. Each piece of her bold and provocative collection is titled, signed, dated, and archived, truly making each creation...one of one.

- Silversmithing has always been a time intensive art that requires a steady hand and a well-trained eye. Many steps are involved in designing a piece, from cutting, heating, soldering, filing, chasing and polishing the finished product. This lengthy process requires a great deal of patience and concentration, as even the simplest forms can take hours to create.
